Status: Exempt; Full-time (Temporary Position through 12/31/2024)

Salary Range: $63,500 - $75,000

Position Summary:

The Hub Project is looking to add a results-driven Communications Manager to our strategic communications team. The Communications Manager will work with The Hub’s strategic communications team to draft strategic communications materials to be utilized by campaigns and partners, as well as work on a team, project managing cross cutting work products. In this role, you will be responsible for translating research findings into clear, concise, and actionable communications materials to support outreach to progressive partners, while working with the full breadth of teams at the Hub Project to keep key project deliverables on time and on budget, inline with program goals and objectives. The right person for this role is ready to pick up the pen and write a first draft having been given clear direction and deadlines, is team-oriented, able to prioritize multiple competing deadlines, highly organized, and able to receive and learn from timely and direct feedback.

As Strategic Communications Manager, you’ll

  • Schedule meetings with stakeholders and progressive partners to build, sustain, and strengthen relationships that will facilitate strategic communication in tandem with progressive partners
  • Take the pen as a strategist who is preparing materials to share with the Hub’s key strategic partners
  • Identify opportunities for the Hub to lend its voice in the progressive ecosystem
  • Develop actionable insights from qualitative and quantitative research
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to track and manage deadlines and approvals processes for key strategic communications deliverables
  • Work with media, including pitching strategic communication angles
  • Perform other duties as assigned

About You

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

  • You are comfortable collaborating with a team while taking ownership of your piece of a project
  • You are comfortable with fast-paced work

Preferred Experience

1-2 years of experience on a political campaign, in an advocacy organization, at a public affairs firm, or on Capitol Hill.

Benefits

This position will be eligible for health leave at a rate of 3.33 hours per pay period.
