The Storage Yard Shipping and Receiving Manager is primarily responsible for monitoring the arrival and departure of personnel, inventory and equipment; and to safeguard the items and equipment housed on the premises.
Act as a liaison between carrier and organization to maintain open communication and to facilitate shipping, storage, and receiving activities on the property.
Communicate transportation status to various stakeholders including but not limited to sales representatives, brokers, customers, vendors, and management.
Create and distribute shipping reports, customer pick up schedules, inventory reports and other necessary reports.
Track daily receipts and shipments.
Advise management of any concerns regarding activities of carriers delivering or retrieving inventory.
Perform inspections of inventory on site, report any issues to management.
Must be accessible 24 hours a day
Candidate must be able to live onsite
High school diploma, GED or equivalent
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including skills with Outlook, Word and Excel
The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor and work well independently and within a team environment
Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
