Duties And Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations in the melting department with a focus on Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) melting
  • Provide supervision, training, and ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and standard operating procedures (SOP)
  • Lead process improvement initiatives, implement best practices, and drive team development
  • Conduct performance assessments and contribute to production volume improvements and reduced delays
  • Possess experience in supervising union employees and implementing continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles
  • Strong background in automation within the steel industry is highly valued

Qualifications

  • High School diploma with extensive experience in steelmaking or heavy industry
  • Prior experience in Electric Furnace Melting, AOD Refining, or Continuous Casting is preferred
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools for generating reports and collecting data
  • Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement within a safety-oriented work environment
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts and weekends as required
  • Candidates must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States
