Position Summary:
The Bookkeeper/Financial Operations Associate will play a crucial role in maintaining compliant bookkeeping, managing accounts payable, invoicing, financial reporting, and contract spend management. Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and compliant bookkeeping records in line with regulatory requirements.
Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice verification, payment processing, and vendor communications.
Prepare and issue client invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Generate and analyze financial reports to support decision-making and financial planning.
Oversee contract spend management, tracking and reporting on expenditures.
Support contract pricing through detailed financial analysis.
Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes.
Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
Undertake ad hoc financial tasks and projects as needed.
Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial management.
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility and adaptability to handle diverse tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a government contracting environment.
Familiarity with contract management and pricing strategies.
Knowledge of DCAA compliance requirements.

About The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team and support a diverse network of clients. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
Use QuickBooks Online to accurately record cash transactions
Create invoices, generate contractor 1099s, and manage Accounts Payable
Complete various bookkeeping and ledger clean-up projects for clients
Categorize income, expenses, and banking transactions using bookkeeping software
Prepare individual tax returns for Schedule A-F clients
Complete forms for EITC, CTC, ACTC, and other credits
