Staff Accountant

As a leader in the industry, they are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their finance team.

As a Staff Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in the finance team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who will drive process improvements to enhance overall efficiency in the department. The base salary for this position is $75,000-$90,000 with a competitive bonus structure.

Staff Accountant Responsibilities:

• Perform general accounting functions including, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger entries
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements
• Conduct month-end and year-end close processes
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
• Provide technical support and advice on management accounting
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
• Participate in financial standards setting and in the forecast process
• Provide input into department's goal-setting process
• Prepare financial reports and assist in the preparation of regulatory reporting

Staff Accountant Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing or publicly traded company
• CPA certification completed or in process is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
