Staff Accountant

Job Description

This position will add value and optimize our operations by assisting with financial statement preparation and maintenance of the general ledger. Success in this role requires a natural passion for numbers as well as an understanding of financial statement construction. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual who possesses superior communication skills, a thorough understanding of financial statements, a commitment to excellence, and a sound, data-driven sense of judgement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger system including the creation or maintenance of underlying detail ledgers.
• Create monthly reports for Senior Management.
• Contribute to the ongoing automation of specialized accounting systems.
• Assist in the analysis and evaluation of customer financial statements.
• Assist in data research projects.
  
  

REQUIREMENTS

• BS degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Two to three years of related accounting experience in either public or private accounting position.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Advanced skills using MS Office.
• Ability to compile detailed, clear reports.
• High degree of aptitude regarding attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
• Willingness to demonstrate leadership skills and make sound independent judgements.
