Staff Accountant

Job Description

Denver Tax Advisor has been providing advice, tax preparation and accounting services to small business and individuals for 10 years. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with financial analysis, general ledger accounting, and financial report interpretation. Knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and examine financial records, statements, and reports
• Ensure accuracy of financial transactions by reconciling accounts
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and tax returns
• Manage journal entries, including posting to the general ledger
• Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes
• Collaborate with the team members to improve accounting processes
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree Accounting (CPA or CPA candidate preferred)
• Proven work experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial services
• Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks, etc.
• Ability to interpret financial reports and perform variance analysis
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
