NAC02I – Sr. Treasury Manager

Brief Description

We are currently seeking an extremely motivated, experienced individual for the role of Senior Treasury Manager. This role will primarily oversee all cash management tasks, including daily cash administration, cash forecasting, account management and bank relations. Other general tasks may also be required. Demonstrate UBC’s Core Values in all aspects of this role including employee and leadership engagement.

Specific Job Duties

  • Predict and fund cash requirements by entity, supporting transfer price agreements and operational funding needs.
  • Supervise 1-2 team members with cash processing responsibilities overseeing daily incoming and outgoing global cash transactions effectively
  • Review cash/bank reconciliations and provide cash balance / liquidity updates for management.
  • Manage foreign currency exposure and foreign currency payments, including researching and resolving issues.
  • Ensure compliance with debt service payments, covenants and reporting requirements.
  • Liaise with global banks to address account issues, queries and access.
  • Management of long-term cash planning, ensuring achievement of business cash planning targets partnering with key stakeholders across the company to monitor accounts receivables and disbursements. Actively manage Risks and Opportunities ensuring a balanced profile and provide insight and remediation suggestions as appropriate.
  • Lead the enhancements of the UBC’s systems roadmap, focusing on efficient treasury and cash management processes and reporting tools
  • Initiate and drive improvement projects and/ or support ad-hoc projects and strategic initiatives promoted by senior management
  • Oversee corporate AMEX and Barclays card programs, including the maintenance of authorized cardholders and the implementation of enhancements and improvements.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of controls over financial assets; lead treasury and cash related controls initiatives.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • Directly or indirectly oversee work performance of 1-2 team members

Desired Skills And Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (preferred, not required)
  • 7+ years of cash/treasury (or general accounting) experience
  • Experience with foreign currencies and banking regulations is required
  • Accuracy, analytical skills and attention to detail are required
  • Strong multi-tasking skills; must manage responsibilities under strict deadlines
  • Strong willingness to learn and operate in a team environment
  • Excellent Organization/Time Management: Demonstrate consistent ability to successfully prioritize work and meet deadlines. Work well under strict deadlines and have the ability to balance diversity in workload and prioritize assignments
