Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor's degree plus 10-12 years of experience in a Supply Chain/Distribution Operations role

- At least 3 years of this experience in a management position including broad involvement in and demonstrated knowledge of operations, supply chain, planning, receiving, shipping, and material flow.

- Demonstrated knowledge of accounting and financial practices in an operations or manufacturing environment.

- Proven leadership/Management experience including the ability to effectively drive change to drive the business forward

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Bachelors or Masters in an engineering, supply chain, or operations management

- Lean Six Sigma cert

- APICS Cert

- Experience working with BioMaterials/Refrigeration on site.

Job Description

A top tier Medical Device employer in the San Diego area is looking for a Sr Manager - Value Stream to support their Distribution operation. This role will manage the Value Stream and Materials flow for the Distribution site- they will move 15,000-20,000 surgical units per night. The Site holds over $400M in inventory, 35K SKUS, 15K SKUs move, in a 100K Sq ft facility. This role will have 49 direct reports- They will manage Shipping/Receiving: 12 folks, Outbound team of 22 people, Logistics team of 2 transportation logistics employees, (cost saving initiatives), and the Inventory team of 13 people that will manage cycle counts. The site is booming. The mothership for distribution- they are currently Mezzanine project that they are going to start to bring in all legacy product to a 2-story facility. The team will grow, becoming a 2 shift operation. We need a strong leader that can lead the team to achieve Value Stream, Site specific and Corporate KPI’s across all metrics of Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, Inventory and Morale.wn material management strategy, optimizing inventory storage, presentation and visual management to drive at-a-glance abnormality. This person will deliver predictable/capable processes to ensure best in class quality is built into each product and ensure facilities are maintained to support safety, production and customer fulfillment needs.
