Sr. Payroll Specialist

Holder Construction is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to join our project team in Atlanta, GA.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Assist in processing of semi-monthly & off cycle payroll for over 1,500 associates
  • Prepare payroll journal entries
  • Prepare bank reconciliation for payroll cash accounts
  • Resolve employee payroll inquiries and discrepancies.
  • Review payrolls to ensure accuracy of taxable income, state and local set ups
  • Stay up to date on payroll legislation and implement in payroll system
  • Work with ADP to resolve payroll notices and ensure that ADP is responding promptly and accurately

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in payroll administration
  • 401K plan administration is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • ADP experience is strongly preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills. Lookups and pivot table are a must.
  • Strong analytical skills and attentiveness to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy of employee information.
  • Ability to research, understand, and apply federal, state and local regulations.
