Sr Payroll Specialist

About the Role: We are seeking a driven, client-focused Senior Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team. This fast-paced position involves extensive cross-functional interaction with our entire team, as well as close collaboration with our accounting and compliance members for ongoing client support and regular reporting tasks.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Accurately maintain and update client payroll accounts with daily entries
• Proactively send out payroll reminders to clients before processing deadlines
• Expertly finalize and execute payroll runs on a monthly or semimonthly basis
• Onboard new employees and provide comprehensive support for any payroll-related inquiries
• Manage payroll tax payments to various state and federal agencies
• Facilitate client registrations for payroll tax purposes when they establish a nexus in new states
• Provide critical support during payroll tax audits and contribute to special projects with a high level of precision and expertise
  
  

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of payroll experience, demonstrating expertise in handling complex payroll processes
• Proven experience managing multi-state payroll, ensuring compliance with diverse state and federal regulations
• Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy, with a track record of maintaining precise payroll records
• Capable of efficiently managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent client-facing customer service skills, adept at building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Advanced proficiency in Google Docs, Google Spreadsheets, and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to leverage these tools for efficient payroll management and reporting
