  • This position is 100% remote.
  • The resource must be located in Central or Eastern time zone.
  • The office is located in White Marsh, MD.

Overview

  • Our client is seeking a Senior Organizational Change Management Specialist who will work with the appropriate Organizational Change Management Leads, and other business stakeholders to ensure effective organizational change management strategies are utilized to help employees transition from the current state to the desired future state, based on project goals. The Senior Organizational Change Management Specialist will lead the change management strategy and execution for IT changes targeted at end users and impact operational business units. The Senior Change Management Specialist will develop and deliver tactical deliverables in fulfilment of stakeholder engagement, communication, training and other organizational change management plans and activities as assigned. Additionally, they will work closely with key Creative Arts, Media, and Strategic Communications team members.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary OCM lead, reporting directly to the Manager.
  • Utilize Agile methodology, participating in two-week sprints to ensure timely progress and adaptability.
  • Manage the training and performance support needs analysis, design, build, and delivery efforts across the IT organization.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communication department for customer-facing external communications.
  • Coordinate training SMEs and support the content creation for project training.
  • Partner with SMEs, Business Clients, and application vendors to build new training content and/or update existing materials.
  • Design, plan, and implement policies, procedures and management metrics to control and monitor training performance and effectiveness.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training and performance support materials. Continuously improve training and performance support materials as needed.
  • Provide customized training in accordance with the project needs.
  • Communicate and interact effectively with team members; develop credibility and trusted mutually respected relationships with customers, project managers, and team members.
  • Interact and interface with customers, vendors, service providers, and other third parties as applicable in relation to the activities and dependencies of the role.
  • Provide advice on training content and delivery (e.g. for course reviews/proposals).
  • Have an interactive training delivery style incorporating adult learning techniques.
  • Demonstrate specialist knowledge in assigned curricula areas.
  • Contribute to service quality and value-add initiatives as required.
  • Measure adoption and performance through surveys and other measurement tools to evaluate the effectiveness of change management activities.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • 5-10 years of experience related to successful delivery of change management work in the disciplines of change management methodology, stakeholder engagement, sponsorship alignment, marketing or communication, training/performance support, or organizational readiness.
  • Experience leading or supporting the entire scope of OCM for technology implementation that causes change for 3000+ employees in both systems used and processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to do the following:
  • Effectively translate organizational change management plans into high quality tactical deliverables, including but not limited to visual communications, job aids, road shows, presentations, talking points.
  • Effectively manage relationships within a highly matrixed organization.
  • Effectively follow processes in place within the organization, and utilize standardized OCM tools, templates and methodology.
  • Execute on multiple large-scale projects at the same time.
  • Develop organizational change management strategy and plan, communications plans, change program measurement plans, and tracking / performing governance activities.
  • Tailor communications and change management strategies, tools and templates to meet specific IT project requirements.
  • Experience in Prosci methodology.
  • Strong attention to detail when developing communication, job aid, PowerPoint / road show or town hall content. Must be visually appealing, and able to work within company branding guidelines.
  • Very quick learner, who can work in an ever-changing environment and navigate a complex, matrixed organization.
  • A strategic, critical thinker, with tactical skills.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Prosci Certified
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and participation in sprint cycles.
