Sr Mgr-Events Marketing, Columbia Threadneedle Investments

Columbia Threadneedle Investments is seeking a senior event marketing manager, with prior experience promoting and marketing as well as planning and executing events and sponsorships. The person in this role will orchestrate all aspects of marketing events, from planning, execution, activation and promotion, to follow up and post-event analysis. The types of events include in person client-focused events and sponsorships, large internal sales/training meetings and virtual events, along with community/non-profit events.

Planning and execution

Lead integration of events with broader marketing initiatives to generate interest and drive attendance

Successfully self-manage projects, communicating with stakeholders as needed and/or required

Manage event budgets efficiently

Event promotion and outreach

Understand objectives of various events’ and create compelling promotional material and messaging to generate interest and drive attendance

Understand and utilize various marketing channels including digital platforms, social media and traditional marketing to promote events

Work closely with creative teams to ensure consistent and compelling brand messaging and design across material

Post event

Lead development and implementation of post-event engagement strategies to maintain momentum

Measure results against key performance indicators and analyze feedback to identify areas for improvement to inform future events

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related discipline with related event marketing experience

Experience in marketing including event and webinar planning, activation and evaluating ROI

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Adobe, Excel and PowerPoint

Ability to travel as needed (up to 20%)

Preferred Qualifications

Basic financial services industry knowledge

Experience working with Cvent event platform and Workfront project management system

Base Pay Salary

The estimated base salary for this role is $86,300 - $149,300 / year. Base salaries are determined in part based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role. We also have a competitive and comprehensive benefits program that support all aspects of your health and well-being.
