We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Job Description Summary:
What you need to know about the role: As Sr. Manager, People Business Partner (PBP) for the Global Finance Organization, you will work directly with the Finance senior leadership team and be responsible for solving complex organizational challenges through people-related solutions. You will be an integral part of the team and will need to understand the business to be a thought partner responsible for the development and execution of strategic People and Organizational programs. Partnering with a cross-functional team of subject-matter experts, you will design and execute strategies that address the evolution of business and customer needs in an impactful and results driven way.

Job Description:
Your day to day:

  • Develop the People and Organization strategy to in support of business objectives for how we staff, onboard, develop, motivate and organize work.
  • Act as a strategic thought partner to the Finance leadership team on the full spectrum of People aspects. Leveraging expertise within the broader People and Places team, propose robust solutions to business challenges that balance short and long-term considerations.
  • Provide HR guidance and support to the assigned business area across a breadth of areas including workforce planning & organizational design, talent management, employee development, performance management and change management.
  • Oversee the flawless implementation and execution of People initiatives, practices, systems, programs, and policies. Develop and implement people solutions to make teams more effective.
  • Facilitate talent reviews and succession planning discussions and work with the business to ensure plans are actively put into practice.
  • Proactively present organizational insights to business leaders that alert them to issues and enable them to make informed decisions around key matters like retention, climate, and people appointments. With the business teams, craft and deliver impactful responses to employee feedback.
  • Play a key role in driving PayPal’s leadership principles and ensure they are embedded into all key HR and people processes. Be present and active in the business to ensure ‘finger on the pulse’ and listen first-hand to employee viewpoints as much as possible.
  • Be a strong culture builder and role model of our leadership principles.


What Do You Need To Bring-
  • A minimum of 10+ years of progressive human resource business partner experience
  • Strong business acumen
  • Ability to develop trusting relationships to gain support and achieve results at all levels of the organization
  • Experience in a high profile, strategic HR role with heavy executive-level interface and senior level influence
  • Ability to take the initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and recommend solutions
  • Experience in coaching, training, and developing employees in a high-performance culture
  • Proven experience with performance management, succession planning, talent management, leadership coaching and consulting
  • Experience in creative problem solving, influencing, change management, and eliminating barriers at any organizational level
  • Be self-directed and motivated. Able to manage conflicting priorities and operate with speed.
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience is required with a preference for an advanced degree in Human Resources or Business Administration

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $99300 to $216040
