The Royal Caribbean Group’s Celebrity Cruise Brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full Onboard Product Marketing Senior Manager reporting to the Marketing Team.
This position will be working on-site from Miami, Florida.
Position Summary
The Sr Manager of Onboard Marketing & Communications leads the global strategy and execution of all guests facing onboard communications (promotional + informational) working directly with operations, concessionaires, revenue partners, and the shipboard teams. The Sr Manager will be responsible for the creation, implementation and execution of all strategic and tactical brand initiatives designed to keep our guests informed, satisfied, and engaged during their vacation. This person also oversees the brand standardization and compliance of onboard communications on all new ships, amplifications, dry docks, and ships in service. To achieve this, this individual must champion strategies, execution and implementation of all guests facing onboard communications to engage our guests and generate excitement. This Sr Manager will also be responsible for the development of all strategic and tactical brand initiatives designed to achieve or exceed revenue and guest satisfaction targets within all onboard channels for the following onboard revenue areas – Retail, Casino, Shore Excursions, Photo, Art, Spa, F&B, Wi-Fi, Future Cruise, Port Shopping, and Bingo. This position will manage the development and execution of onboard promotions, offerings, and marketing activities.
This individual must possess an acute understanding of how to leverage all onboard communications touchpoints such as Celebrity Today, Celebrity Cruises mobile app, digital signage, TV, point of sale promotions, Officer’s interactions, while balancing the guests’ vacation experience with the onboard operational needs. This role works collaboratively with other teams including Operations, Newbuild, Design, Product Development, and Marketing and leads a team of one Account Executive.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Guide the development of new offerings that will drive increased onboard revenue for the brand long term and improve the overall guest experience onboard.
- Provide guidance and direction for the creative execution of new offerings and experiences while collaborating closely with key stakeholders for both internal and external revenue areas.
- Manage relationship with Hotel Operations, Marketing and Onboard teams to provide relevant and strategic feedback on the best practice approaches to support their products and initiatives within the Casino Partnership, Onboard Marketing Communications and Operational Excellence process.
- Work with Casino Operations to understand partnership opportunities either with land-based casino properties or Celebrity Reps and develops a solid plan with full communications strategies, plans, and tactics that engage and attract land-based players to our ships.
- Manage and evolve the Account Executive, Onboard Marketing & Communications roles by defining required skills, roles, and responsibilities needed to execute new strategies through all integrated onboard communication channels.
- Develop the tactical thinking and execution skills of team members.
- Lead partnership efforts with operations, shipboard, and brand teams to ensure all entities are informed and aligned with the branding and communications strategies, the brand campaign, and corporate strategic goals.
- Onboard Communications.
- Lead the charge to ensure all guest facing communications align with our brand’s identity and messaging is consistently executed across the fleet.
- Guide the development of onboard communications that will improve the overall guest experience onboard.
- Provide guidance and direction for the creative execution of new activities and experiences that align to our brand and continue to set us apart.
- Leads partnership efforts with operations, shipboard, and brand teams to ensure all entities are informed and aligned with the branding and communications strategies, brand guidelines and overall and corporate strategic goals.
- Manage the creation of all physical, digital, and multi-media content; ranging from bathroom amenities to physical signage, to TV content, to Celebrity Today.
- Partners with various marketing channels to ensure all communications follow brand standards from creation to ongoing support of a product or service onboard.
- Generate, increase, and engage consumer awareness of existing or new onboard offerings or experiences delivered through internal or external partners.
- Drive awareness and results for new products to increase onboard revenue across all channels by closely overseeing and managing the execution process.
- Develops marketing and communication plans that support guest satisfaction ratings and NPS targets.
- Monitor the creative development process and production by our internal creative team as well as any external vendors hired to develop onboard communication content.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising or related field required
- 6+ years’ experience in marketing, advertising, or creative team
- Past management experience
- Proven success with launching and leading teams in the launching of new products and services from ideation to delivery across multiple channels
- Strong written and oral communication skills, highly organized, deadline driven and detail oriented.
- Demonstrates ability in proactively improve processes and procedures.
- Able to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
- Team oriented and demonstrates strong cross functional leadership expertise in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
- Proven ability to collaborate well with others and build strong, sustainable relationships with stakeholders of all levels within the organization.
- Ability to develop strategic frameworks, plan, execute and manage projects from start to finish.
- Experience managing business partnerships, vendors, internal and external cross functional teams.
- Proactively recommend branding and communications opportunities to drive increased onboard revenue results.
- Active participation in cross functional teams to identify and implement product development and partnership strategies.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to interact with all departments and levels of management throughout the organization, as well as external partners.
- Obtains the skills to analyze profitability and ROI for all recommended and current promotions.
- Remains current on industry trends, business opportunities and competitive intelligence within the vacation industry
- Manages team projects on-time and within budget.
- Occasional travel required.
