Senior Manager of Acquisition Integration - Home Services
This position requires a skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Acquisition Integration with a deep understanding of the home services industry, particularly in trades like air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical. This role will be pivotal in orchestrating the integration process for newly acquired businesses within Southern Home Services’ expanding home services portfolio.
Location:
This is a remote position with travel expectations of up to 70% of working hours. The role reports to the Chief Strategy Officer of Southern HVAC Corporation based at the Corporate Headquarters in Maitland, FL.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the Mergers & Acquisitions team to develop integration strategies tailored to the nuances of the home services industry.
2. Lead cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth integration of acquired businesses in air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical trades.
3. Develop and manage a detailed integration timeline, addressing industry-specific challenges and considerations (e.g. New Management Packet, Post-Close Integration Checklist, Weekly and Monthly accountability meetings, etc.)
4. Work closely with business line leaders to align integration activities with the unique requirements of their post-close business line focus areas.
5. Coordinate communication efforts to keep stakeholders, including acquired businesses and internal teams, well-informed about integration progress.
6. Review capabilities across all functions of the new acquisition to ensure we have the appropriate leadership and employee capacity for success.
7. P&L responsibility for newly acquired centers in the first 6-12 months of ownership.
8. Manage timely recognition of Pre-Close identified synergies, including, but not limited to Preferred Vendors, Equipment Conversion and Labor Management
9. Coach and implement standard operational excellence based on Southern Operations (SoOps).
Key Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
2. Proven experience in merger and acquisition integration within the home services industry, with a focus on air conditioning, plumbing, and/or electrical trades.
3. Strong project management skills, particularly in managing integration projects in a trades-based environment.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse teams within the home services sector.
5. Analytical mindset with the ability to navigate industry-specific challenges and find pragmatic solutions.
6. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance specific to home services acquisitions.
7. Minimum of five years of experience in Operations Management within the home services industry.
8. Proficiency in project management and software relevant to trades-based operations.
9. Willingness to travel up to 70% as needed for on-site integration activities within the home services sector.
