Position Overview:

The Senior Manager of Data Quality and Governance is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality, consistency, and security of the company's data assets. This role involves developing and implementing data governance frameworks, managing master data, and leveraging AWS services to optimize data management processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of data management, data security, and AWS technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Quality Management: Develop and implement comprehensive data quality frameworks and processes to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across the organization.
  • Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
  • Master Data Management (MDM): Lead initiatives to manage and maintain master data, ensuring data integrity and uniformity across all business systems.
  • Data Security: Implement robust data security measures to protect sensitive information, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and industry best practices.
  • AWS Services Management: Utilize AWS services and tools to optimize data storage, processing, and analysis. Ensure the effective use of AWS technologies in data management processes.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with IT, data analysts, and business units to understand data needs and provide guidance on data governance and quality issues. Lead and mentor a team of data quality and governance professionals.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Develop and maintain metrics and reports to track data quality and governance performance. Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance data quality, governance, and security.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: At least 7-10 years of experience in data quality, data governance, or related roles, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial position.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Proficiency in AWS and AWS services (e.g., S3, RDS, Redshift, Glue, Athena).
  • Strong understanding of master data management principles and practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of data security protocols and best practices.
