We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Manager FP& A in Houston, Texas for a fast-growing LNG company. The role involves leading the FP& A Operations team providing financial guidance to drive business performance.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the FP& A Operations team to enhance business performance
Develop and maintain budget cycles, improving process and analytical tools
Provide finance support, highlighting trends, and analyzing causes of unexpected variances to assist with cost management
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive process improvements
Ensure compliance with financial regulations
Establish and maintain a reporting system providing management with appropriate information to drive business decisions
Prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results for internal and external reporting
Generate reports to track costs against budget for projects under construction and in operation
Prepare routine & ad-hoc reports, track budget to actual costs and cash flow, and partner with the Operations Managers to ensure reporting is accurate and up-to-date
Work with Leadership and Investor Relations team to coordinate and develop materials as needed
Review contracts to understand accounting requirements
Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic initiatives to enhance effectiveness of operations
Requirements
Proficiency in Financial Modeling
Strong skills in Budgeting and Forecasting
Experience in Annual Financial Reporting
Expertise in Variance Analysis
Excellent leadership and team management abilities
Adept in the use of financial software and systems
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master's degree or professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, etc. preferred
Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
Experience out of a LNG or oil and gas company is required
