We have been engaged by a diversified firm with holdings in energy, transportation, manufacturing, and real estate which is also one of the largest private companies in California seeking a procurement leader. You will lead and improve procurement operations for the company, which includes 9 divisions and 20 operating companies. The ideal procurement leader will bring the following experience and background -
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management or a related field
Experience working for a company in the manufacturing sector
Experience with ERP's, NetSuite is a plus
Ability and desire to lead a team and be hands-on with day-to-day work
Strong communication skills
Experience negotiating contracts (RFP's and RFQ's)
Process improvement experience
Six Sigma certification(s) or training is a plus
Knowledge of and experience working with BOM's (Bill of Materials)
