Job Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Manager Creative Services Art develops and evolves creative design strategy, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and a knowledge of both current and competitive trends. This position acts as the Creative Services Team conduit to all enterprise partners when dealing with art and design. The Senior Manager manages the day-to-day work and administrative asks of the design team, is responsible for designer development, and coordinates all work with the traffic team to ensure all deadlines are met. The Senior Manager needs to possess a deep understanding of strategy and strategic variables, as well as interface with both Sr. Marketing Managers and outside agencies and vendors, making sure that all work is as effective as possible and connects to both campaign and brand objectives. This position must have the ability to conceptualize creative concepts and pieces based on strategic briefs, creative briefs, and segment and partner input. The Senior Manager will need to have meaningful knowledge of the numerous parts of the health care ecosystem and the family of GuideWell companies and its subsidiaries. This position is expected to have a meaningful understanding of process and be able to consistently evaluate and drive it to better places within our shared project management platforms. They will also be responsible for curating team SOPs. The Senior Manager is also expected to develop Art Directors into leaders, identify new talent and vendors, possess excellent presentation skills, and feel confident communicating with Senior Director and executive level management.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Helps shape the creative vision of the enterprise and ensures its manifested in every touch point.
  • Provides thought leadership within the enterprise in regard to best design practices and aesthetic elements.
  • Develops, oversees, and evolves an integrated creative design strategy for all enterprise partners, while ensuring that designs adhere to creatives briefs, brand guidelines, campaign objectives, and industry design standards.
  • Manage day-to-day work of the design team including the review of every piece, administrative asks, designer development, and coordination with traffic team to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Interface with all segment leads, outside agencies, and vendors to understand and help drive strategy, field strategic variables, and act as artistic subject matter expert and creative services team conduit.
  • Continually evolve process to increase quality, efficiency, and accuracy, understanding how seasonal volume swings, SOPs, our project management platforms, and resource management factors in.
  • Lead team in all special project asks including presentation design, new branding elements, and reimagined campaign art.
  • Execute daily design asks ranging from direct mail and out-of-home ads to social media and digital asks.
  • Connect results back to design decisions and conventions, employing campaign results, competitive pieces, and marketing insights.
  • Coach and develop team, on respective disciplines and in the area of leadership.
  • Manage creation of marketing materials for CGAs and Centers, via Marketing Connect, pull data to track engagement trends, and offer recommendations for efficiency and faster speed to market.

What You Must Have

6+ years related work experience. Experience Details: strategic and strong design background, art and design in an enterprise level organization

3+ years direct supervisory/management experience

Related Bachelor’s degree or additional related equivalent work experience

Moderate design experience for multiple communication channels and mediums to include print collateral, presentations, mobile, web, social media, blogs, storyboards, etc. Video experience a plus!

Superior design skills, attention to detail, and a sophisticated creative sensibility

Talent for conceptual thinking and brainstorming for fresh ideas and approaches at the enterprise, campaign, and project level

Mastery of MacIntosh graphics, layout and desktop publishing software

Experience with design management systems

Experience in a high-volume multi-project environment with multiple stakeholders

Ability and willingness to perform strategic, managerial and tactical elements of the role

Experience leading a team of creative talent; demonstrated commitment to and experience with developing team members and creating and maintaining a positive and productive work environment

Project, resource, and vendor management experience

Exceptionally detail-oriented and organized in a deadline driven environment

Familiarity with email marketing, web-based communications, social media and other electronic/emerging technologies

Professional presence, a positive and enthusiastic demeanor and the ability to build relationships in a highly matrixed environment

Strong project management skills with the ability to execute programs with speed, accuracy and efficiency

Ability to achieve results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with competing priorities and limited resources

Motivative and lead other by example and career paths

Working knowledge of Marketing Connect, our proprietary digital asset management tool

Ability to take complex ideas and create understandable, aesthetically pleasing graphics

Ability to identify new talent and vendors while cultivating existing ones

Ability to work with outside agencies and create pieces from campaigns created by them

What We Would Prefer You Have

  • 10 years agency experience
  • Familiarity with art direction of video production
  • Animation direction experience
  • Leads with compassion and empathy

General Physical Demands

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.

Must be able to travel to multiple locations for work (i.e. travel to attend meetings, events, conferences). Occasionally

Typical Annualized Hiring Range(Role Budget): $96,000 - $98,000

Annualized Salary Range: $96,000 - $156,000

Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
