The Sr. Facilities Manager will oversee the facilities and maintenance department, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining/upgrading GAS/CHEMICAL reactors and other equipment. This position ensures optimal equipment performance and directly reports to the Chief Operations Officer and CEO.
Core Responsibilities for the Sr. Facilities Manager:
- Supervise up to 8 employees in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other critical facilities.
- Regularly update executive management on equipment status and system conditions.
- Lead maintenance and repair operations for all facilities and equipment.
- Execute daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventive maintenance on reactors and support equipment.
- Conduct facility maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep.
- Manage inventory for reactor and cleanroom parts.
- Perform reactor conversions and bottle changes as per company protocols.
- Collaborate with process technicians and engineers to meet quality standards and deadlines.
- Resolve daily equipment performance issues.
- Keep the Senior Facilities Manager informed about parts and consumable inventories.
- Propose improvements for equipment and facility utilization.
- Adhere to all company safety and environmental regulations with gas and chemicals.
- Report any breakages or damages to company property to the Senior Facilities Manager.
- Maintain organized work areas, including offices, gray rooms, cleanrooms, and toolboxes.
- Communicate supply needs to the manager.
- Develop and follow approved standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Comply with the company’s quality control system to meet customer expectations.
- Follow all safety procedures and report concerns to the manager immediately.
- Have thorough knowledge of the company’s quality system, ensuring all products meet quality objectives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements for Sr. Facilities Manager:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Over 5 years of experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of epitaxial equipment.
- Strong teamwork and managerial skills and attention to detail.
- Flexible schedule and adaptable to changing tasks.
Preferred Skills for a Sr. Facilities Manager:
- Over 10 years of mechanical maintenance and HVAC experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
