Role Overview: Insight Global is actively partnering with a client to identify a Sr. Environmental Scientist to join their team. This role will include a combination of technical and functional support multiple environmental based contracts within the federal and private sectors. Some of the federal land management agencies that the client works alongside include USFS, USDOI, BLM, and the NPS but there are also state, local, and commercial enterprises that they work with. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for:
Managing projects
Senior-level technical support for projects to include data analysis, calculations, and modeling
Preparing and reviewing cost estimates, schedules, proposals, work plans, and reports
Supporting environmental site investigations (such as water and soil sampling), remedial designs, and removal actions
Traveling to project sites across the country when needed
Required Skills:
10+ years of experience working within environmental sciences as an Environmental Engineer, Environmental Scientist, Geologist or Geoscientist
BS in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, Biology, or equivalent
Expertise in site investigations and remediation, with emphasis on abandoned mine sites
Previous experience working with federal land management agencies such as the United States Forest Service (USFS); United States Department of the Interior (USDOI); Bureau of Land Management (BLM); National Park Service (NPS)
Experience with RCRA/CERCLA and state environmental regulations
Experienced with and comfortable in business development functions such as proposal preparation and management, along with reactionary networking
