InfraHire is looking for a Sr. Electrical Engineer in Greenville, SC.
Duties/Responsibilities
Review of quote, budget, and conceptual design for adherence to customer specifications – notify appropriate departments of deviations.
Electrical machine design and layout using 2D CAD Software.
Peer review of documentation packages.
Prepare Master Bill of Material for the design.
Conduct machine PLC, HMI, robotic, and peripheral device programming.
Learning of new and old technology, hardware and software required to implement design and programming of new and legacy equipment.
Create electrical project book for assembly personnel.
Assist with panel build, machine start-up, debug, and commissioning.
Participate in kickoff meetings, design reviews, project status meetings, FATs, and SATs.
Serve as technical resource throughout all project phases.
Accurately record time spent and compare to budgeted hours. Maintain a record of cause for deviations if applicable.
Keep up to date estimated hours on Functional Plans.
Completed all APP documentation for projects assigned to as the lead.
Maintain project milestone dates as specified in the project schedule.
Assist other engineers to meet project deadlines when required.
Work closely with the Mechanical Engineering, Purchasing and Assembly departments to ensure project quality and advancement.
Correct design issues / errors and re-issue documentation in a timely manner.
Lead installation crews during machine installations at customer’s facility.
Travel to customer’s site for initial project kickoff when needed.
Assist the Applications Department on concepts for new RFQs and change orders to existing projects.
Travel and stay out of town as needed to complete a project, up to 25% per year.
Travel for service calls when required.
Work after hours and/or holidays when necessary.
Suggest cost and efficiency improvements to management.
Create technical documentation packages for projects.
Manage and lead a team of engineers on assigned projects.
Review vendor equipment documentation within the discipline for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolution.
Perform and check calculations, specify equipment, solve complex engineering problems, analyze, and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Efficient time management – handle multiple projects simultaneously, including prioritizing, organizing, and planning effectively to meet all deadlines.
Advanced knowledge of electrical codes and company standards.
Education And Experience
A.S. in Electrical Engineering and 4 years of experience or a minimum of 8 years of experience.
