Sr. Director, Technology Architecture

Dynata is looking for a highly experienced and visionary Chief Architect to lead the architectural strategy and execution for our organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of architectural principles, a proven track record of successful project delivery, and the ability to lead and inspire a team of architects and engineers. As the Chief Architect, you will be responsible for defining the architectural vision, ensuring alignment with business goals, and driving the implementation of innovative solutions. You will work closely with senior leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure that our architectural practices are robust, scalable, and aligned with industry best practices. Your role will involve evaluating and selecting appropriate technologies, designing high-level frameworks, and providing technical guidance to ensure the successful delivery of projects. You will also be responsible for maintaining a strong focus on quality, performance, and security, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the architectural vision and strategy.
• Lead and mentor a team of architects and engineering product teams.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and frameworks.
• Design high-level architectural frameworks and solutions.
• Ensure architectural practices are robust, scalable, and secure.

• Conduct architectural reviews and assessments.

Education And Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in architecture and engineering roles.
• Strong understanding of architectural principles and best practices specifically in cloud computing services including microservices architectures, serverless computing and event-driven distributed systems.
• Experience with a variety of technologies and frameworks including J2EE, Web Services, XML, SOAP, XSL, HTML / DHTML, and HTTP
• Knowledge of relational database design, OLAP, and NoSQL models is required (SQL, MDX, etc.)
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience with cloud computing and distributed systems, preferably AWS.
• Knowledge of security and compliance standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong focus on quality, performance, and security.
• Experience with agile and iterative development methodologies.

The base salary range for this position in is $130K-$185K/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A discretionary incentive program may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and other benefits, dependent on full-time employment status.
