What You’ll Be Responsible For In This Role

The Sr. Director, National Sales will lead our expansion efforts in the food service channel. In this role you will collaborate closely with the VP Commercial Development to identify untapped markets, develop strategic plans, and promote Generous Brands while fostering brand loyalty across the marketplace.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth across the food service channel (including airports, B&I, colleges, LSR).
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, leveraging unexplored markets to drive sales growth.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and market expansion
  • Build and nurture strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including distributors, customer, and industry influencers, to promote Generous Brands
  • Collaborate with internal business partners, including marketing, operations, finance, and category management, to ensure alignment and achieve company goals.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations
  • Negotiate funding agreements/arrangements with distributor partners for all channels of trade.
  • Coach and develop a team to deliver results by establishing measurable goals by territory and customer.
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term plans for portfolio architecture and territory expansion,
  • Negotiates contracts, managers stakeholder relationships (e.g., GPOs, foodservice managers, distributors, customers)

Minimum Qualifications

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and exceeding revenue targets in the Food Service channel.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze sales data and market trends to inform decision-making.
  • Willingness to travel to meet with customers, attend industry events and visit sales territories
  • Ability to think rapidly in a growing and changing environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in sales within a consumer-packaged goods company.
  • Established relationships and experience working with key retail accounts and multiple distributors across multiple channels.
  • Strong planning, organization, and project management skills, along with excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication and presentation skills
