Be a trailblazer
- Collaborate with KIND category & sales leadership to:
- Build Category Management capabilities for KIND within these strategic channels while growing thought leadership leading to profitable category growth for your retailers and KIND
- Actively advise these retailers on category and shopper centric opportunities to grow market share
- Support in developing transformational, fact-based recommendations on how to reimage the aisles KIND is located in through consumer & shopper insights that will create value for both your retailers and KIND, quantifying opportunities for macro-space assortment, aisle optimization, promotion optimization, new item sell-in, and pricing strategies
- Be the expert on your retailers and KIND with a deep understating of rest of market trends that are driving marketplace growth
- Create and plan category leadership solutions that should include shopper and category insights across: item assortment (everyday/new products/promoted/seasonal), everyday shelving and merchandising, pricing and promotions
- In accordance to KIND Strategic Category & Sales initiatives, support in executing category leadership solutions agreed to with these retailers to accelerate both Category and KIND growth (including setting success measures & monitoring)
- Where appropriate, manage and deliver against the responsibilities of the Category Captaincy/Advisory process in partnership with the customer and advisor manufacturer partners
- Establish relationships with key retailer stakeholders, KIND leaders and partners
- Work closely with local sales team and sales leadership to develop and participate in Top-to-Top, JBPs, line reviews and monthly/quarterly business reviews
- Work with KIND HQ cross-functional teams to identify specific insights opportunities, assist with any research, and help deliver category leadership solutions
- Leverage insights and resources through the utilization of a broad range of data sources, market research findings, tools, analyses, and technology to continually bring new (revenue generating) shopper ideas to your retailers and KIND
- Deep analytical expertise, especially working with syndicated data software (i.e., IRI or Nielsen)
- Experience influencing through data and insights storytelling
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Goal-oriented, taking initiative to establish account-specific plans and exceed sales goals
- Analytical and able to convert data to strategic business insights
- Able to position yourself as a trusted advisor to your business partners
- A fast learner who is able to deliver on projects with a sense of urgency
- Able to prioritize multiple workstreams and requests
- Genuine in your desire to help make the world a kinder place, committing to always spreading and celebrating kindness
- Bachelor’s Degree is Required (Business, Food Management, or Psychology Preferred)
- 5-7 Years of CPG experience working within the Sales Team or Category Management / Insights Groups
- High degree of self-motivation and discipline
- Exceptional organization and communication skills (both written & verbal)
- Excel at math, analytics, and problem-solving
- Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, and syndicated, panel, shopper card data (IRI, Nielsen, Numerator)
- Knowledge of POG software (Blue Yonder, Apollo, etc.)
- Ability to work with a wide variety of individuals within the organization and maintain regular contact with all stakeholders
- Team oriented with the ability to work independently
- Initiative and ability to work with various individuals and groups inside and outside the company progressing towards a common goal
