Responsible for procurement of materials, equipment and services, drafting and administering purchase orders
Essential Job Functions:
Drafts and structures purchase orders and related documents and modifications thereof for repairs, supplies, parts, equipment, materials and non-complex services
Drafts and issues RFPs/RFQs
Negotiates purchase order agreements for commercial and government requirements
Possess and utilizes basic negotiating and planning skills
Utilizes basic knowledge of FAR/DFARS in issuing purchase orders
Identifies, evaluates and assists in vetting suppliers of products and services
Vendor follow-up on open Purchase Orders as required
Expedite on open Purchase Orders as required
Routinely interacts with internal and external personnel
Possess proficiency with business software/systems
Enters orders, modifications and closeout actions in JDE accurately and on a timely basis
Travel in support of the company’s business activities
Experience:
Minimum of (5) years of procurement experience
Experience working with government and commercial subcontracts
Associate's degree or higher or equivalent work experience
