Position Summary

The Senior Business Consultant, CI, will lead and manage multiple cross-functional and business-wide process improvement initiatives, focusing on increasing productivity, reducing costs, and improving efficiencies for the goal of increasing internal and external customer satisfaction. The Senior Business Consultant will lead teams to deliver tangible, documented results, using Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies for solving complex problems down to root cause. The Senior Business Consultant will also train, coach and mentor others, and will work with senior leaders to integrate CI approaches into the company’s business strategy. In addition, the Senior Business Consultant will report findings and recommendations to business leadership, including Executive Officers and the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy Continuous Improvement methodologies and tools across the organization through assigned projects. Identify, scope, and prioritize improvement opportunities and translate functional goals into CI strategies/projects with measurable objectives. Lead process improvement initiatives with quantifiable and tangible results
  • Provide expert guidance to multiple project teams
  • Coach, train, and mentor developing Process Analysts and Senior Process Analysts
  • Disseminate process improvement methodologies and toolkits throughout the organization via formal and informal training and community of practice leadership
  • Institutionalize and champion Continuous Improvement thinking and principles throughout the organization. Advocate and demonstrate the benefits of applying this methodology to achieve business objectives and financial performance targets
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and related working experience
  • 6 years CI experience in DMAIC, DFSS, Kaizen, or other relevant methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required; ability to recommend alternative solutions and translate complex concepts into simplified and understandable examples
  • Ability to work across all levels to lead and influence key stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to interact professionally with a diverse group
  • Ability to translate complex data into concise executive-level presentations
  • Desire to learn new skills, tools, and techniques
  • Energetic self-starter with strong leadership skills
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Hawaiian Airlines is regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT - regulation, 49 CFR part 40) and all applicants are advised that post-offer and/or pre-employment drug testing will be conducted to determine the presence of Marijuana, Cocaine, Opioids, PCP (Phencyclidine), and Amphetamine prior to any offer of employment or transfer into a safety-sensitive position. Please note that the provided salary information serves as a general guideline. Our salary is determined by a candidate's experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations. The expected pay range is $104,000 - $128,000.

  • Airline or related industry experience
  • Master’s Degree
  • PMP certified
  • Client Service Business Consulting experience
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (or equivalent) certification
  • 10 years of business or process improvement
  • Agile experience
