Sr. Broadcast Intercom Specialist

Purpose

The purpose of this position is to serve as the principal comms, engineering project manager, and client liaison for major projects and productions.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support and guidance to the Comms Specialists regarding communication systems advancements.
  • Lead team as product knowledge expert to keep various facility intercom systems software and hardware revisions up to date.
  • Act as the lead on-site comms expert for assigned client events and projects.
  • Maintain product knowledge on the latest technology including but not limited to hardware upgrades, equipment, and new software releases.
  • Coordinate with Integration and Engineering teams on the setup and programming of the comms structure for new facilities. This could include but not limited to new or refurbished Mobile Units, Fly-Packs and Studios.
  • Manage the creation and maintainence of a database of all facility intercom systems.
  • Oversee and update any internal training materials related to Comms systems.
  • Provide project updates to Engineering Management Team to review tasks, timelines, and ensure budgets are being met.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Engineering, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of industry-related experience in project management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of broadcast management, technology, equipment, facilities, and production for major commercial and cable TV networks.
  • Valid US Passport is required.
  • Understands various aspects of Telex intercoms including advanced AZ Edit programing, RVON card setup, OMNEO card setup, Bussing, Trunking, etc.
  • Must have a good working knowledge of various DANTE devices and DANTE Networking.
  • Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of Broadcast Truck IT infrastructure.
  • Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of the ADAM infrastructure and how the various components interact with each other.
  • Must have basic knowledge of other systems and equipment like Riedel and Clear-Com products.
  • Knowledge of Wireless RF intercoms is a plus.
  • Ability to multi-task, plan projects, and implement them efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Must be able to communicate and interface professionally with clients and other employees.
  • Requires extensive travel.
