Position Purpose
The Sr. Analyst – SAP Master Data Governance will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of financial, vendor, and customer master data across the organization. Under the DMO (Data Management Office), this role will act as a business partner to both internal stakeholders and external suppliers, facilitating the creation and maintenance of master data as needed. The Sr. Analyst – SAP Master Data Governance will collaborate frequently with offshore business partners, provide coaching and cross-training to team members, and support DMO’s vision to be an effective governance owner and central point of contact for all master data needs within identified data domains.
As a Senior Analyst, you will work on departmental and strategic projects, collaborate with project/product managers, help more junior analysts, and balance your own workload. This role is expected to present continuous improvement insights and recommendations to managers and leaders. In addition, Sr. Analysts will collaborate with cross-functional teams, requiring effective communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities
- Collaboration – Leverages prior experiences to help develop and recommend solutions Effectively develops trust and collaboration with internal customers and cross-functional teams in other towers Collaborates with appropriate team members to gather input and feedback concerning business needs Understands the technical needs required for successfully tackling business problems
- Operational Duties – Execute required tasks related to the delivery of the (PTP, OTC, RTR) tower Work coordinately with other teams providing or receiving information as needed Support work that needs to be done with internal or external customers. Interprets data contained in reports and ledgers Provides advice and analysis to increase the efficiency and improve the tasks that are done Supports the work of more junior analysts Resolves issues and problems related to their job function. Executes month end / year end processes Monitor and works towards meeting KPIs and SLAs defined for the area Assists FBS manager with building and interpreting analysis for providing insights to the business
- Project Management & Team Support – Work with project teams and business partners to complete project goals Helps prioritize assignments and ensure quality and accuracy of work
- Skill Building & Professional Development – Seek further knowledge on key developments and trends within finance (e.g., analytics, intelligent automation, robotics) Participate in the continuous improvement of financial shared services processes and tools
- Contributing towards the creation and maintenance of financial, customer, and vendor master data in relevant ERP systems and databases.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders and suppliers via ticketing system (Zendesk).
- Ensuring that existing governance and process documents (SOPs) are up to date based on changes in requirements or business needs.
- Working with key functional and technical stakeholders to identify and document functional requirements to ensure that the DMO governance solution meets the needs of the organization.
- Identifying key opportunities for improvements and contributing to critical operational/process improvements or projects.
- Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
- Playing a role on enterprise-wide initiatives involving DMO across the organization.
- Building deep content knowledge around how the business end-users and stakeholders use this foundational data to run the business and perform essential functions.
- Supporting development, testing and adoption of new tools and processes to improve data entry, data management, and systems connectivity.
- Maintaining accurate records to ensure compliance with departmental procedures, corporate controls, and SOX requirements.

- This Position has no Direct Reports
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
- Under frequent pressure to accommodate tight deadlines, demanding quotas and/or must regularly deal with difficult situations.
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
- 5+ years of professional experience, with 3+ years' operational experience working with SAP (ECC, S/4HANA).
- Comfortable working through ambiguous situations to define precise requirements and priorities and drive outcomes.
- Strong process development, planning, tracking and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail, sense of urgency, and commitment to deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and demonstrated capacity to develop and implement practical strategies, plans and solutions to identified issues and problems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify quantify and effectively raise business risks associated with data quality or non-compliance.
- Ability to work with and strongly influence remote project and offshore teams is expected.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with stakeholders.
- 2-4 years of experience in any of RTR, PTP or OTC operations.
- Experience with Data Analytics and Visualization software (Tableau, Excel, Power BI, Alteryx).
- Experience working with business stakeholders to capture business requirements and translating them into user stories and/or process improvements.
- Experience with master data SAP processes and tools (i.e., MDM).
- Experience with G/L, Cost Center, Profit Center creation, updates, hierarchy, and financial reporting impacts.
- Experience with vendor and/or customer onboarding, invoicing, payments.
- Understanding of vendor tax withholding and related tax forms (W9s, 1099s, etc.).
- Operational experience or knowledge in Ariba, Zendesk, Smartsheet, Sharepoint.
- General understanding of SAP interconnected systems and related data domain tables.
- Advanced Excel Competencies (External Queries [SQL], PowerPivot, large dataset manipulation, SAP exports and Excel conversions)
- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
