JOB SUMMARY:
The SQL Developer plays a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining database solutions that empower efficient data management within our organization. Leveraging their expertise in SQL programming, database optimization, and data modeling, they will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop robust and scalable database systems.

Employee will consistently be required to work indoors in an office setting, work alone and with others. Office settings are mild to moderate temperatures.

JOB SUMMARY:
The SQL Developer plays a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining database solutions that empower efficient data management within our organization. Leveraging their expertise in SQL programming, database optimization, and data modeling, they will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop robust and scalable database systems.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Design, develop, and implement SQL-based database solutions, ensuring optimal performance, data integrity, and scalability. Collaborate with software developers to integrate database functionality seamlessly into applications.
- Analyze and optimize complex SQL queries to enhance database performance. Identify and resolve bottlenecks, ensuring efficient data retrieval and processing.
- Utilize your expertise in data modeling to create logical and physical database designs that align with business requirements. Ensure consistency and adherence to best practices in database design.
- Facilitate seamless data migration and integration processes, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss. Collaborate with teams to develop and implement effective data transfer mechanisms.
- Implement and maintain database security measures to safeguard sensitive information. Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and industry standards.
- Create comprehensive documentation for database structures, processes, and configurations. Keep documentation up-to-date to facilitate knowledge sharing and smooth transitions between team members.
- Diagnose and resolve database-related issues promptly. Provide support and guidance to end-users, troubleshooting problems and ensuring a reliable database environment.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Education, Training, Certifications:
- High school Diploma, or equivalent, required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years proven experience as a SQL Developer or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of database design principles, data normalization, and indexing.
- Experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
- Familiarity with data modeling tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of data security, privacy, and compliance considerations.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Must have the ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English with employees and customers.
- Proficiency in SQL programming and database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.
- Must be able to comply with SFPH’s Drug and Alcohol policy and Background screening requirements, which may also include customer specific requirements based on contractual agreement.
- Occasional travel required, up to 20%.
