Job Description
A client in the Nashville, TN area is looking for a Remote SQL DBA to join their team. This resource will be the sole DBA coming in to support their database. This resource will need to eat, sleep, breathe SQL server as they diagnose and fix issues as more of a crisis DBA. This company's database scaled beyond limits and has continued to take a bit of downward trend (they have 1,000 stored procedures, index fragmentation, negative schema design, this team has had several production incidents in the past couple days because the database keeps seizing up, etc.) so this person will be tasked with coming in to solve lots of complex issues within SQL server. They will need to develop complex joins, oversee performance tuning, do schema design, write fixes, etc. to keep everything up and running accordingly. This role will also have the opportunity to also possibly provide recommendations or improvements to their environment as well as they continue to work and engrain themselves in their database
