This position works in a fun and ever-changing environment. They will serve as the face of our facility, delivering exceptional service to visitors while supporting the operational needs of the Fargo Parks Sports Center. The hours for this job are from 5:00 am - 2:00 pm, Monday thru Friday, with some weekends.

Essential Functions

This position's performance is primarily evaluated based on the following essential functions, including but not limited to:

  • Effective Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all telephone inquiries related to Fargo Parks Sports Center. Utilize both written and verbal communication to provide accurate information to the public and direct inquiries to the appropriate department promptly.
  • Outstanding Customer Service: Maintain excellent public relations by interacting with visitors in a courteous and professional manner. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and ensure all documentation is completed accurately and punctually.
  • Promotion and Information: Act as an ambassador for the Park District by staying informed regarding all facilities, programs, and events. Provide clear and concise responses to inquiries, promoting the Park District's offerings effectively.
  • Independence and Initiative: Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously and take initiative in handling tasks and inquiries efficiently.
  • Facility Maintenance: Keep the front lobby area tidy and ensure office equipment is functioning correctly to uphold a welcoming environment for visitors.
  • Cash Management: Manage daily cash turn-ins securely and accurately, adhering to Park District policies and procedures.
  • Policy Adherence: Maintain knowledge of Park District policies and procedures, ensuring compliance in all interactions and tasks.
  • Customer Relations: Previous experience in customer relations is required to excel in this role.
  • Schedule/Supervise: Serve as the point person for scheduling part time and supervise.

This position may also be evaluated based on the performance of the following functions, among others:

  • Communication with Supervisors: Keep direct supervisors promptly informed of any key issues or concerns that arise.
  • Safety Compliance: Execute duties and responsibilities safely and efficiently to maintain a secure work environment for oneself, colleagues, renters, and the public. Respond promptly to hazardous situations or unsafe conditions, taking corrective action as necessary and notifying supervisory personnel.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Fulfill any other duties or responsibilities assigned or apparent as needed.

Education/Experience

Required Experience:

Accepted Education And Experience Are As Follows

  • Associate degree in office/business administration or related field.
  • Or
  • 2+ years of related work/customer service experience

Credentials/Licenses/Certifications

  • Must possess a valid drivers license.
