Job Summary
The Trade Marketing Specialist will ensure the Trade Sales and MICE Sales teams have the materials and information needed to market The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection successfully to their travel partners and clients. This position will assist in the development and execution of B2B/B2B2C marketing efforts including but not limited to sales support materials and presentations, trade promotions and communications, monthly newsletters, event activations, training and webinars, and the fulfillment of Consortia and Strategic Account co-op marketing programs.
Essential Functions
Assist in project management and creative development for sales and marketing materials such as collateral, brochures, direct mail, advertisements, flyers, and emails for trade and corporate meetings and incentive channels.
Develop and communicate written creative briefs for use by outside agencies, freelancers, or in-house creative teams.
Evaluate and provide feedback on creative concepts, copy, and executions based on strategic alignment, brand standards, and consumer impact.
Apply brand knowledge and marketing strategy to assist in drafting trade advertising and sales copy.
Prepare presentations and marketing collateral for the sales team to utilize during sales calls and webinars.
Support sales team with the promotion of trainings, webinars, events, speaking engagements, and post-event outreach through external campaigns.
Collaborate with internal departments such as Hotel Operations, Land Programs, and Reservations to ensure unique selling points (USPs) are incorporated into consumer-facing materials and communications.
Assist with updating of content and images across Consortia and Strategic Account partner websites.
Participate in sales and marketing events such as tradeshows, conventions, and conferences, as needed.
Assist in the ordering of branded logo items for tradeshows and events.
Assist in administration duties such as accounting, status reports and metric/measurement reporting.
Conduct consistent competitive analysis and monitor industry trends.
Competency
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field preferred
Skills & Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing or advertising; travel, hospitality or luxury experience a plus
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading abilities are required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
Strong planning capabilities to meet the deadlines required to support sales needs
Ability to interact with senior leaders and build effective relationships within the company, external stakeholders, and travel partners
Detail-oriented; exceptional organizational and follow-up skills
Deadline-oriented; ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them on a timely basis – operates with a sense of urgency
Team player with a positive attitude who works well cross-functionally
Resourceful, creative self-starter who takes initiative to learn processes and get things done with little supervision
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs – advanced PowerPoint design and formatting skills a plus
Work Environment
Hybrid, working at least two (2) days a week from our downtown Fort Lauderdale office.
Occasional travel may be required.
