Summary

Reporting to the Director of Student Recruitment, this position will lead the implementation of strategies on Association priorities in the areas of student recruitment, DEI and centralized applications. A member of the Education team that manages the implementation of efforts to support organizational priorities and activities within the Student Recruitment department. Supports unit efforts with a focus on departmental contributions to education strategy for the Association. Supports appointed and member volunteer groups and APTA leadership. Seeks out opportunities for continuous quality improvement in department activities. Effective champion of the Association vision, mission and brand.

Essential Functions

  • Partnership management
  • Volunteer/ambassador recruitment and management
  • New ambassador onboarding
  • Member engagement group oversight
  • Event management
  • Resource development and management
  • Hub/Community creation and management
  • Prospective applicant database management and communication
  • Website content management
  • Volunteer communication management
  • Duties will include some evening and weekend work
  • Conference and webinar presentations
  • Annual calendar management and developmental input.

  • Performs other duties as assigned to foster the achievement of association priorities

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in postsecondary or graduate student recruitment or pipeline program management
  • Bachelor's preferred
  • K-12 student recruitment or college/career advising experience
  • Experience in partnership management and volunteer relations
  • Working knowledge of advancing DEI initiatives
  • Proficiency in public speaking, strong presentation skills
  • Experience with database management
  • Experience with virtual and in-person event planning
  • Experience working with Centralized Application Services preferred
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational, time management skills, and attention to detail
  • Project management skills a plus

Travel Requirements

Up to 25% - Local and National
