Position Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Special Education teacher dedicated to making a positive impact on students' lives through teletherapy, all from the comfort of your own home.
Responsibilities
Engage students in goal planning, monitor progress, and promote self-advocacy.
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' disabilities, unique learning needs, and goals.
Provide remote instruction in various subjects, adapting curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning styles and abilities.
Utilize technology and digital resources to engage students in virtual learning activities and promote academic progress.
Conduct virtual assessments and progress monitoring to evaluate academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other team members to ensure comprehensive student support.
Communicate with school administration and general education teachers to facilitate progress in the classroom.
Qualifications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Available full-time or part-time during school hours.
Bachelor's degree in Education and Master's or Doctoral degree in Special Education from an accredited program.
Must have an appropriate state teaching license in New Mexico and state of residence.
Must have a home computer and strong internet connection.
