Under the guidance of our Director, the Special Education Teacher plays a pivotal role in enriching academic services through a range of activities aimed at fostering essential skills such as language proficiency, cognitive abilities, and the effective use of assistive technologies for communication.
Responsibilities
Conduct academic and disability screenings following protocols established by our Director.
Provide specialized instruction to students and adults, ensuring adherence to documented treatment plans.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during client assessments and reviews.
Customize instructional materials to align with targeted educational objectives.
Maintain accurate client records and prepare reports as needed.
Share insights with families and medical professionals through online platforms.
Implement behavior management programs under the guidance of certified ABA/Neuro staff.
Participate in online clinical team meetings as required.
Requirements
Master's Degree from an Accredited Special Education program.
Current certification as a Teacher.
Familiarity with developmental norms, instructional tools, and learning procedures.
Understanding of expressive, receptive, and cognitive disorders.
Proficiency in behavior management techniques and record-keeping practices.
