Lulu & Georgia is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and hard-working Sourcing Coordinator to join our growing team! You will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where multitasking and problem-solving are key. This position requires great attention to detail and excellent organization. You will implement organizational systems and structure to ensure the timely delivery and coordination of products. In this role, you’ll report to our Associate Director of Sourcing for furniture and lighting and work closely with our international production teams, warehouses, designers and importation partners. This is an excellent role for someone interested in product production, logistics, supply chain, and the international economic market.
Responsibilities:
Partner with Sourcing Director on Sourcing recaps, costing information and vendor placements
Support Sourcing Director on lead times to maximize flexibility and speed for initial orders and reorders
Assist in reviewing development timelines to support production schedules to meet delivery deadlines
Review and solves delivery and production issues/options with Associate Director
Monitor and track development samples, photo samples to calendar milestone dates
Communicate and follow up with vendors and cross-functional partners daily
Review build sheets, and update product development and production data as required
Manage/Update Airtable, style maintenance
Communicate with designers on ongoing projects, provide notes, modifications, and alterations to existing designs for designer to update CAD and rendered designs
Coordinate and attend weekly PD meetings and warehouse sample reviews
Partner with the Product Development Coordinator on daily operations of the Product Development Department, including coordinating receiving containers, transfers, samples, and photoshoot samples for furniture and lighting
Partner with PD Coordinator on project status reports for incoming shipments or WIP management
Partner with PD Coordinator on project status reports for incoming shipments or WIP management
Partner with Logistic Manager on incoming inventory sheets, partner with PD-Coordinator to update the system with units’ availability by date
Partner with PD Coordinator on order requests, reorders existing in-line products, build containers, assess containerization for all intended POs
Work closely with merchandising planners to communicate the availability of pre-order units
Work with the VP of Product development on projects that require coordination between departments and international sourcing offices to usher projects through the developmental process, launch phase, and early lifecycle
Requirements:
Detail-oriented and driven by deadlines and a high sense of urgency
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, email, telephone) with strong attention to detail
Self-starter and capable of working while managing multiple projects simultaneously
Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
Strong interpersonal / teamwork skills
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Proficient computer skills; Microsoft Office (excel) and Google Suite, photoshop skills preferred
Attention to detail
Knowledge of product packaging and product testing
Effective communicator with internal and external parties, must have the ability to work in/with cross functional teams
Proactive approach to problem solving, adapt quickly to changes
Experience in home interiors, preferably rugs/textiles
Experience in Product Development and/or Production (fabric/trim knowledge, construction knowledge, print techniques, finishing/washing)
Lives in the Los Angeles area
Must have reliable transportation for picking up samples, and in-person meetings
Must be able to lift up to 15lbs
