The Clinical Specialist (CS) will be responsible for effectively supporting clinical procedures with the Sonata System. The ability to interpret sonography competently is required. Travel within the United States is required for clinical activities.


Primary Responsibilities:

· Physician training in the safe and effective operation of the device

· In-service of staff, including OR staff technicians, sonographers, and central processing

· Perform installation of systems at customer sites as required.

· Reinforce proper product application with respect to intended use, warnings, and contraindications

· Support early case experience with direct interaction as a specialist and technical resource while encouraging surgeons and staff to perform all aspects of the procedure independently.

· Support field staff as the clinical application and technical expert resource

· Establish and nurture positive relationships with customer sites and field staff. Effectively support any ongoing clinical research initiatives at customer sites.

· Demonstrate mastery of the technical operation and clinical application of the system and procedure

· Adheres to procedures for the device as well as company operations for field representatives

· Provide feedback to corporate, including user feedback any technical or other concerns as required by the quality system

· Exhibit professionalism through appearance and ethical conduct with a positive attitude.

· Be able to travel extensively and at short notice to cover cases. Up to 80% travel in peak periods.

· Follow through on tasks assigned with limited supervision

· Provide timely feedback on all activities

· Anticipate evolving conditions and needs, develop and implement strategies and tactics to meet challenges and achieve Gynesonics operating objectives

· Accept additional projects as assigned by the Director, Global Clinical Applications and the Director of European Sales & Operations


Education Level, Required Skills and Experience:

· AA (or equivalent) required

· BS/BA in scientific/technical field preferred

· Certification as an ultrasound technologist preferred

OR

· Extensive expertise supporting sophisticated image-guided therapeutic procedures (diagnostic alone is not sufficient) is preferred


Competencies (skills, knowledge, abilities):

· 3-5 years experience as a clinical specialist required

· Ability to competently interpret sonography and experience with radiofrequency ablation devices required

· Experience in the gynecology discipline preferred

· Experience in conducting clinical trials preferred

· Able and eager to travel, work flexibly, and live within access of a major hub airport

· Good communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal relationship skills

· Demonstrated ability to calmly and confidently support procedures in Operating Room environment

· Demonstrated ability to thrive within a small company environment where flexibility and resourcefulness are required

· Skills with essential communication methods/software including Word, Excel, email
