Responsibilities

The Solution Architect - Adoption and Change Management is a non-technical consulting role that specializes in leading organizational change management and adoption services for Microsoft’s Defense customers. This role operates at the program level and manages multiple projects across different Services and regions. The Solution Architect - Adoption and Change Management delivers high-quality solutions that enable the Microsoft Platform and drive value outcomes for the customers. The Solution Architect - Adoption and Change Management also drives business development, pre-sales, and risk management activities, and collaborates with the broader adoption ecosystem within and outside Microsoft. The Solution Architect - Adoption and Change Management is a trusted advisor, a thought leader, and a mentor for the Addoption and Change Management (ACM) practice.

  • Develop and implement change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage of Microsoft technologies and solutions.
  • Apply a structured methodology and use existing reference architectures and design patterns to lead change management activities.
  • Support the design, development, delivery, and management of communications, training, and rewards and recognition programs.
  • Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders and change network.
  • Act as a coach for senior leaders and executives to help them fulfill their role as change sponsors.
  • Support project managers and teams to integrate change management activities into project plans and governance.
  • Quantify the needs of the business to achieve value outcomes, capture and reuse IP, and share best practices.
  • Scope, sell, and deliver complex ACM consulting solutions, including writing statements of work and managing risk.
  • Evangelize the need and impact of ACM, both internally and externally, through various channels and events.
  • Generate and improve intellectual property and contribute to internal and external communities.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security)
  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security)
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years managing multiple projects or portfolios.
  • 1+ year(s) experience leading blended, multidisciplinary teams.

Other Requirements

TOP SECRET CLEARANCE:

The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.

Clearance Verification: This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.

Cloud Screening: Candidates must be able to successfully complete and pass a Microsoft Cloud background screening. Required Cloud Screenings will be administered on a recurring bi-annual basis.

Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport, or other approved documents, or verified US government clearance.

Solution Architecture IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,700 - $209,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $151,100 - $226,700 per year.
