The Manager of Software Quality Assurance will lead a dynamic team responsible for both manual and automated testing of our Software as a Service (SaaS) cloud-based applications, which are integrated with on-site systems. This role demands a proactive leader who can ensure the highest quality standards are met through meticulous testing methodologies and tools. This role is 100% remote and candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
How You’ll Succeed
-Manage and lead a team of QA engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
-Develop, implement, and maintain QA processes and standards to ensure comprehensive testing of SaaS applications integrated with on-site systems.
-Ensure the QA team is meeting project and department milestones/goals.
-Oversee the creation and maintenance of detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
-Lead integration testing efforts to ensure seamless interaction between cloud-based applications and on-site systems.
-Evaluate and implement improvements to existing test automation frameworks and processes.
-Ensure that software tests identify defects and meet quality standards by evaluating test results against expected outcomes.
-Implement improvements to the QA process based on test results and team feedback.
-Recommend alternative testing strategies and methodologies as needed to improve product quality.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and operations, to ensure alignment on quality goals.
-Communicate testing progress, results, and issues to stakeholders effectively.
What You Bring
-Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related degree (or related experience).
-Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 1-3 years in a supervisory role.
-Proven experience in managing QA for SaaS applications and integration with on-site systems.
-Proficient in both manual and automated testing methodologies.
-Experience with tools such as Reflect, Selenium, Cypress, Postman, and Chrome Developer Tools.
-Familiarity with React Material UI, Recharts, and Storybook is helpful.
-Knowledge and experience with micro-service architectures and REST API’s.
-Excellent leadership and team management skills.
-Strong communication skills to effectively communicate within the engineering team as well as with the product team.
