Job Summary
As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our software products. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, implement QA processes, and respond promptly to bug reports. Additionally, you will identify opportunities for automating testing procedures to enhance efficiency.
Responsibilities
Reviewing quality specifications and technical design documents to provide constructive feedback.
Creating and executing detailed test plans and test cases to ensure comprehensive coverage.
Estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating quality testing activities.
Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects to resolution.
Applying testing processes to both new and existing products.
Designing, developing, and executing automation scripts using open-source tools and CI pipelines.
Staying updated with emerging testing tools and strategies.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Experience in creating clear, concise test plans and test cases.
Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages.
Familiarity with BDD test frameworks and experience with RSpec.
Exposure to web development technologies including Ruby on Rails, HTML/Haml, and JavaScript/CoffeeScript.
Ability to integrate testing for performance and security aspects (preferred).
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Skills
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Self-directed with a passion for learning new technologies and contributing to company growth.
Proven experience in software projects and interacting with subject matter experts.
Ability to leverage tools like Cucumber and Selenium for automating user acceptance tests.
