Software Quality Assurance Engineer

As a Software QA Engineer, you will be responsible for testing our software applications and ensuring the quality of the software meets the high standards set by our company. You'll bring experience with SQL and front-end testing, and the have ability to create smoke and user acceptance tests.

This is a full-time, salaried position that is either hybrid in Manchester, NH, or fully remote. It’s open to candidates in the US who are eligible to work without current or future sponsorship. The salary range is $75,000 to $85,000 annually, depending on skills and expertise.

Your Impact:

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for our software applications.
• Identify, document, and track software defects, and work with the development team to resolve issues.
• Conduct functional front-end testing to verify that the user interface is user-friendly, responsive, and meets requirements.
• Create and maintain smoke and regression test suites.
• Create user acceptance tests to ensure that the software meets the acceptance criteria and is ready for production release.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and customer support to ensure that the software is of the highest quality.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-up, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
• Perform ad-hoc, exploratory, regression, smoke, and performance testing as required.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results.
• Continuously improve the software quality process by identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing best practices.

Your Profile:

• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with database testing.
• 3+ years of experience as a QA.
• 2+ years of SQL experience.
• 3+ years of experience in software testing.
• Experience with test management tools such as JIRA, Testmo, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
• Experience creating and executing smoke, regression, and user acceptance tests.
• API testing experience.
• Exploratory testing experience.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
