Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work
  • Master’s degree in Social Work


Licensure, Registration, Certification

ACMA certification

Must hold one of the following License

  • Licensed in Alabama as a Bachelor Social Worker (LBSW)
  • Licensed in Alabama as a Master Social Worker (LMSW)


Plans, organizes, coordinates, and implements comprehensive social work services to patients in the setting to which they are assigned to ensure appropriate and timely discharge planning and provision of services including the social, emotional, economic and environmental needs that may affect the patient’s medical condition and/or progress. Develops and implements plans of care based on identified needs.
