Social Services Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Social Services to oversee the social services department at Hover Senior Living Community, long-term care and skilled nursing. The Director of Social Services will be responsible for developing and implementing programs to support the emotional, social, and mental well-being of our residents, as well as providing guidance and support to staff members. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the unique needs of long-term care residents, skilled nursing, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities: - Develop, implement, and oversee social services programs that address the needs of the elders in the GreenHouse Hover Senior Living community; a long-term care and skilled nursing facility - Provide individual counseling and support to residents as needed - Coordinate with medical staff, family members, and other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive care plans for elders - Ensure that all services provided meet regulatory requirements and industry standards - Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, agencies, and resources to enhance services for elders - Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of social services programs and make adjustments as needed

• Collaborating with community partners and stakeholders to advocate for the needs of elders onsite - Providing support and guidance to elders in need of social services - Evaluating the performance of staff and providing regular feedback and training opportunities
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree Required - Licensed clinical social worker or other relevant professional license - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in a social services role in a long-term care setting - Strong leadership and communication skills - Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in long-term care and skilled nursing - Compassionate and empathetic approach to working with residents and their families
