Social Media Video Editor

We are seeking a highly creative and skilled Social Media Video Editor to join our Integrated Marketing Team, reporting to the Social Media Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social video editing, a keen understanding of social media trends, and the ability to produce visually compelling content that resonates with our target audience. As a Social Media Video Editor, you will play a crucial role in crafting engaging videos for various social media platforms, contributing to the success of our marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Utilize in-app or external video editing software to edit and enhance video content
• Cut, trim, and assemble footage to create visually appealing and coherent videos
• Adapt videos for different social media platforms, considering each platform’s specific requirements and best practices
• Stay updated on the latest features and trends on platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, X, YouTube and Instagram
• Review creative briefs to understand campaign goals and target audience
• Work with the Social Media Manager to generate creative ideas and concepts for video content that align with marketing objectives
• Collaborate with the creative studio and other team members to ensure cohesive and impactful multimedia content
• Manage and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines
• Stay organized and efficient in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in content creation, specifically short-form or social-media focused video content
• Ability to use a smartphone or professional camera to take photos and film videos in studio and in the field
• Proficiency in video editing software including in-app programs (Instagram Reels, TikTok) and Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Premiere Rush, or equivalent tools
• Strong understanding of social media trends, best practices, and and their specifications
• Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box
• Comfortable being on camera and speaking in front of the camera
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to be in-office in Houston three days a week
