Job Title: Social Media Specialist

Are you a social media aficionado with an insatiable appetite for likes, shares, and comments? If so, you might just be our next Social Media Guru! We’re looking for someone who can take our clients and our online presence to the next level and make our competitors jealous.

Imagine that you are writing to someone who was a victim of a sexual assault or workplace harassment. Suppose you are writing to a parent or grandparent who was knowingly sold a defective prosthetic hip by a billion-dollar corporation forcing them to endure painful surgeries and limiting their mobility.

As you can tell, the nature of our work can be heavy on the heart. We work hard for an industry that helps bring justice to victims across the U.S.; We work with lawyers.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, creative, and possess a solid understanding of how each social media platform works. In addition to optimizing content to maximize its reach with a passion for connecting with an audience.

Responsibilities

  • Create and curate engaging content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Monitor engagement of social media channels for industry trends and audience preferences.
  • Analyze social media insights (e.g., traffic, engagement, shares, conversion rates) to guide future strategies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to manage reputation, identify key players, and coordinate actions.
  • Develop social media marketing plans and strategies for the following:
    • Brand development
    • Target audience
    • Client objectives
    • Visual design
    • Content development
    • Promotion
    • Engagement
    • Conversion
    • ROI measurement and analysis
  • Administer the creation and publication of relevant, original, high-quality content for all channels and advertisements (within any budgetary constraints) including but not limited to:
    • Copywriting (using active voice)
    • Image selection and optimization
    • Video creation
    • Caption development
    • User engagement and interaction
  • Create a regular publishing schedule using an editorial calendar
  • Produce Standard Operating Procedures for social media best practices and guidelines
  • Reputation management
    • Become an advocate for the company and our clients in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate
    • Monitoring and responding to comments accordingly
    • Responding to feedback and reviews
The Social Media Specialist should always strive to learn new trends as it is a crucial element to their success. With constant shifts in social media marketing, it is essential to continue learning in order to remain highly effective.

The Social Media Specialist is instrumental in participating in the company’s content-related assets. This includes the social media assets of our company and our clients.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role preferably in a digital marketing agency environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social media platforms.
  • Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Cloud Campaign, Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • Impeccable proofing skills.
  • Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in social media. (Give links to profiles as examples).
  • Fluency in Canva/Figma is a must.
  • Familiarity with the legal fields (preferred)
  • Passion for social media and all things internet marketing.
  • Strives for producing high-quality work.
  • Is a team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary. (ie: content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management).
  • Autonomous and collaborative working skills.
  • A deceased ego, open to receiving feedback from the team.
  • Practices superior time management.
