The salary range for this position is between $51,590-$65,390, depending on location, relevant skills, and years of experience.


Position Overview - Social Media Marketing Specialist

The Social Media Marketing Specialist plays a critical role on the marketing team, maintaining the network’s social media efforts and reputation management. This is done through solid copywriting and creative efforts. This position is responsible for handling all aspects of social media and the online presence for a portfolio of brands which includes content creation, posting, monitoring, and managing engagement using a variety of review tools.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Research: Stay up-to-date on the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices in order to keep our content fresh and relevant
  • Implement: Develop a results-driven social media strategy and optimal posting schedule — taking into consideration metrics and customer engagement
  • Create: Build social media content including copy, images, and videos
  • Post: Publish content on relevant platforms to support and enhance each brand’s awareness and equity
  • Engage: Interact with users and respond to social media and Google My Business messages, inquiries, comments, and reviews.
  • Analyze: Review performance data to optimize content and increase reach and engagement
  • Additional Reputation Management: Coordinate building, managing, and maintaining our network reputation management platform.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong copywriting and copy editing skills
  • A passion for social media trends and audience engagement
  • An eye for design
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and effectively time manage
  • Willingness to learn and use project management system
  • Associates Degree
  • One (1) to two (2) years of experience in a marketing or social media related role
  • Passion for social media and proficiency with major social media platforms (specifically LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and Google My Business)
  • Strong understanding of key social media metrics and ability to tailor social strategy to deliver desired results in reach and engagement
  • Demonstrated experience using design tools, such as Canva (or similar).


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Experience using social media management/scheduling tools, such as HootSuite or Sprout Social
  • Experience managing multiple brands


Physical Requirements:

  1. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
  2. The person in this position needs to move about both inside an office and at other locations where meetings may be conducted.
  3. Frequently operates a computer for extended periods of time.
  4. Frequently communicates with others over the phone, video and in person; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
