Social Media Manager (Contract)

We are seeking a talented and experienced Social Media Manager to join the OPEN SuperApp team. This role will fully own all of OPEN's socials (X, Instagram, Youtube, TikTok, OPEN), taking the lead on developing and executing our social media strategy. This person will also support our partner's socials (typically celebrities, artists, or content creators) in developing a social strategy around product drops. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing our social media strategy to increase our followers, boost engagement, and use social media as a key customer acquisition tool. This will be a full-time contract role with the potential to convert to permanent employment after 3-6 months. This role is remote, though we are looking for someone in commutable distance to Los Angeles for occasional in-person events/photoshoots.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement OPEN SuperApp's comprehensive social media strategy to increase brand awareness, followers, and engagement.
  • Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video, written) across various social platforms including but not limited to Instagram, X/Twitter, TikTok, OPEN and emerging platforms.
  • Plan and execute social media campaigns aligned with marketing strategies and product launches for both OPEN and our celebrity partners.
  • Monitor and respond to user comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Analyze social media metrics and provide reports on a regular basis to track performance, gain insights, and optimize future strategies.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure brand consistency and alignment with overall marketing goals.
  • Identify and engage with key influencers and brand advocates to build a community of loyal followers.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to ensure our strategies remain innovative and effective.
  • Utilize social media as a customer acquisition tool, focusing on converting followers into active users and customers.
  • Manage social media advertising campaigns, including budget allocation, targeting, and performance tracking.

Ideal Background:

  • 1-3 years of proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, with a track record of growing followers and engagement.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Industry experience with ecommerce, AI, CPG, or creator economy a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to produce engaging content.
  • Proficient in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social).
  • Experience with social media advertising and analytics tools (e.g., Facebook Ads Manager, Google Analytics).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Passion for digital trends and innovation.
