Social Media Manager

Position: Full-Time

We are seeking a talented Social Media Manager to join our dynamic team and coordinate the publication of digital content across various social platforms. Reporting to the Associate Director, Content & Engagement, you will work closely with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Copywriters, and Strategists.

As a full-service social media agency with over 15 years of experience, our team of 150+ employees creates award-winning content for top-tier brands such as Amazon, Netflix, Intuit, and Warner Bros. Recently, we were honored as the 2022 Small Agency of the Year at the Shorty Awards. We are continuously striving for the next big social media moment!

In this role, you will ensure that content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with client objectives. You will collaborate with Content & Engagement Managers, Content Editors, Copywriters, Designers, and other teams to execute an effective content publishing and engagement process.

Key Responsibilities

Content Coordination and Management: Work with Engagement Managers, Content Editors, Copywriters, and other stakeholders to plan and organize the content publishing schedule. Ensure content is accurate, consistent, grammatically correct, and aligned with branding guidelines, voice, and messaging.

Community Management: Engage with social media users across platforms, support content sourcing, execute postings, and manage strategic community interactions. Serve as a liaison between clients and the community for customer service inquiries. Stay tuned to social conversations to quickly identify trends and engagement opportunities.

Platform Management: Maintain best practices for publishing and updating content across client platforms to optimize visibility and reach.

Technical Proficiency: Utilize content management systems, digital publishing tools, and related technologies effectively. Troubleshoot technical issues related to content publishing and collaborate with IT teams as needed.

Content Formatting and Enhancement: Format content for online consumption, considering readability, visual appeal, and user experience. Enhance content with relevant images, videos, infographics, and other multimedia elements.

Compliance and Copyright: Ensure all published content adheres to copyright and intellectual property regulations. Stay updated with industry trends, digital publishing best practices, and relevant legal requirements.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with Creative, Project Management, and Account teams to align content publishing with overall marketing strategies. Communicate with various teams to gather information and assets for content creation and publication.

Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that published content is error-free and meets the highest standards.

Qualifications

1-3+ years of experience with entertainment/brand clients, preferably in an agency setting

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field

Proven experience in digital content publishing, content management, or a similar role

Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills

Familiarity with SEO best practices and content optimization techniques

Proficiency in content management systems and basic image editing tools

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality content

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, early mornings, or evenings as needed

Salary & Compensation

In compliance with local and state law, we disclose the compensation for roles in New York City, Colorado, and California. The range listed is part of a comprehensive compensation package that includes annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. Salary Range: $65k - $75k
